About
For their first concert after the nation's emergence from the Covid-19 pandemic, Wotton Silver Band is delighted to be performing in its home town for a free concert for the people of Wotton and for UTEA as it emerges from hard times. Amongst a varied repertoire the band will premiere a new work it commissioned during lockdown from leading composer for brass, Christopher Bond. This short piece evokes the sense of joy in being reunited to make music together again, the springtime tradition of Band Sunday on Wotton Hill and the band's competition successes of recent years. Entitled "Paint the Town Red", it celebrates the place this red-jacketed band holds in the life of the vibrant community it serves. Do come and witness this special occasion.
